By Glamsham Editorial
After making a special mark with films Farhan Akhtar-Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment is reaching dizzying heights. The production house has achieved a special status in the industry. Harvard Business School (HBS) has chosen Excel Entertainment for case Study, a first time on an Indian film company.
Ritesh Sidhwani had done a key note panel discussion in March 2012, which gave them a good insight and they decided to take it further by doing a case study.
Mrs. Mukti Khaire the Associate Professor at the Harvard Business School flew down from Boston for a week and was the faculty lead on the case.
Mrs. Khaire worked closely with Namrata Arora- the Associate Director of the Harvard University South Asia Initiative during the case-writing process on Excel Entertainment.
As part of their research they did extensive interviews with Ritesh, Farhan and a lot of key members of the Excel team.
Harvard Business School cases are a description of a management situation and are used for class discussion in a variety of educational programs. The case study on Excel will be taught to the second year MBA students at HBS in Jan/Feb 2013.
A case study taught at HBS is considered highly prestigious as after being taught at HBS it's picked by professors from universities worldwide
HBS case studies are also put on the Harvard Business Publishing website for professors to purchase and teach in their respective universities.
